Eglinton Principal Shared Path (PSP)

Jackson Asphalt was engaged by Landscape Australia Construction to deliver the asphalt works for the Eglinton Principal Shared Path along the Alkimos coastline, north of Perth. The scope comprised supply and placement of red laterite asphalt to create a durable, high-visibility shared path that complements the surrounding coastal landscape and meets PSP standards.

Working adjacent to coastal sand dunes, our crew managed wind, sand drift and variable subgrades with appropriate preparation, trimming and compaction to achieve a consistent, cambered riding surface. Careful sequencing and traffic/pedestrian management ensured safe access for the broader project team and the public throughout construction.

Key outcomes

  • A bold, long-lasting path that pops against the natural coastal tones.
  • Built tough to handle the WA elements.
  • Smooth, safe, and ready for countless rides and walks to come.

Now, the Alkimos foreshore has a pathway as epic as the scenery itself – and we’re stoked to have been part of the ride.
