Working closely with the Shire of Plantagenet in Mount Barker and Kendenup, Jackson Asphalt took charge of road resurfacing works leading into the Sounness Park Precinct and the Mallawillup Road and Martagullup Road intersection.
These works required Jackson Asphalt to manage, on behalf of the Shire, Traffic Management, Profiling, Sweeping, and Asphalting.
After mobilising from Perth to Mount Barker, Jackson Asphalt completed the Mallawillup Road resurfacing by closing and resurfacing one lane of the road while continuing to allow traffic down the other. Tie-ins were cut for the new surface to join to the existing asphalt in a seamless manner.
The McDonald Avenue works were completed while under active Traffic Management, with profiling operations preceding asphalt. The traffic, profiling, asphalt, and Shire of Plantagenet crews worked seamlessly to deliver the project with minimal disruption to the public, and opening the road as soon as possible following completion of the works.
